Custom 3-day Sport Climbing Course

A custom 3-day sport climbing program for a private group of five, run exclusively in the Grampians.

Where you are now You've been top-roping at a climbing gym/outside, you're comfortable on the wall, and you're keen to take it further — but lead climbing/belaying and the outdoors feel like a big, uncertain step. You're not sure what gear you need, what the risks are, or where to even start.

Where you'll be by the end of the weekend Fully equipped to get on bolted single and multi-pitch sport routes — in the Grampians, the Blue Mountains, and further afield in Europe and the Americas. You'll be able to lead climb and belay a leader on real rock, build and clean anchors on fixed hardware, thread-and-lower and abseil from the top of a route, and make sound, independent decisions outdoors.

The program Friday afternoon builds the foundations: lead belaying from first principles, working through tube devices and assisted-braking devices, partner checks, communication, and safely catching real falls. Saturday moves into single-pitch sport climbing — clipping, route-reading, anchors, threading, lowering, and abseiling — until you're cleaning routes independently. Sunday extends into multi-pitch terrain: managing rope between pitches, belaying from above, transitioning at anchors, and building the judgement to handle committing situations.

All climbing safety equipment provided. Bring a harness, rock shoes, appropriate clothing, food, and water.
