Audience

This course is intended for JYS colleagues who may be required to attend or contribute to a Strategy Meeting or an Article 42 Enquiry.

Aim

To raise participants awareness of their role and responsibilities in relation to safeguarding children.

Learning Outcomes

• Explain the purpose of Strategy Discussions/Meetings and your role if attending
• Describe what instigates an Article 42 Enquiry
• The legal duty behind an Article 42
• Follow the correct process for information sharing in line with Statutory Guidance
• Use a case study and determine appropriate actions
• Understand your role within Jersey’s safeguarding structure and the multi-agency response
