Critical Pedagogy Faculty/Staff Summer Book Club

Boatwright Memorial Library and the Faculty Hub invite fellow educators (all welcome!) to come together for thoughtful, collaborative engagement with transformative ideas about teaching and learning. This summer, we’ll begin with Chapter 1 of bell hooks’ Teaching to Transgress, which we will discuss on May 28 12-1 p.m. in the Faculty Hub. As a group, we’ll decide what to read next and when to meet monthly. Lunch will be provided on the last session.

Whether you’re new to critical pedagogy or have long incorporated its principles into your work, this book club offers a welcoming space to reflect, question, and connect with colleagues across disciplines. Join us as we build a community to reimagine what’s possible in our classrooms and beyond.
