This class is designed for knitters ready to expand their skills into circular knitting. You will learn the fundamentals of the Magic Loop method, along with a stretchy cast-on and bind-off that creates a clean, professional finish.

Through guided instruction and hands-on practice, you will gain confidence working in the round while understanding how tension and structure function in circular projects. By the end of the class, you will complete a simple project and leave with the skills to continue exploring hats, sleeves, and other small-circumference projects on your own.

This class also serves as strong preparation for the upcoming Beginner Sock Knitting class, beginning June 23, where these same techniques will be applied to full sock construction.

Price is $38 (members of RRAC receive a 10% discount)

Prerequisite:

• Students must know how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off.
• Ages 12+

Required Project Materials:

Students must provide their own materials.

• 50-60 yards of light-colored DK or light worsted-weight yarn (preferably wool)
• 4 mm / US 6 circular needle, 32”
• Tapestry or darning needle
• A stitch marker
• Embroidery scissors
• A notebook and a pen

Studio Art Class Payment Policy Update:

Reserve your spot now; payment is not due at registration for studio art classes. After minimum enrollment is met, registrants will receive confirmation, and payment must be made before the start of class for registration to remain active. Membership status will be verified.

All pottery classes continue to require payment at the time of registration.
