Reproductive Justice and GBV
This training provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between reproductive justice and gender-based violence (GBV). Grounded in a Birth Justice framework, the session explores how systemic inequalities—including racism, economic injustice, and gender discrimination—shape individuals’ access to reproductive autonomy, safety, and healthcare.
Participants will examine the core principles of reproductive justice, including the right to have children, not have children, and parent in safe and sustainable communities. The training also addresses various forms of gender-based violence—such as intimate partner violence, sexual violence, reproductive coercion, and trafficking—and their impact on physical, emotional, and reproductive health.
This virtual training is provided for members and IDHS-funded DV/SA organizations only, and will issue 2 CEUs at no cost. For Social Work CEUs, please indicate this clearly in your registration and later in your evaluation. Please confirm here if your organization is a member of The Network.
A Zoom link will be provided the day before training begins.
