Oil Painters, please use Gamsol Only and keep it capped when not in use. I will demo in either Acrylic or Gouache paints. You are welcome to use your favorite medium.

Professional Artist’s Quality Paints - Stay away from student-grade paint!

Basic Colors: (Have at least these eight colors on your palette.)

• 1. Titanium or Permanent White
• 2. Cad Yellow Medium
• 3. Yellow Ochre
• 4. Cad Red Light or Medium
• 5. Alizarin Permanent
• 6. Burnt Sienna
• 7. Ultramarine Blue
• 8. Phthalo Blue

Oil Painters

• Disposable Palette: Grey Matters or standard white disposable paper palette.
• Gamsol Mineral Spirits ONLY!
• Canvas: Acrylic-primed for oil and acrylic paints.
• Oil Brushes: Hog Bristle Flats or Brights, sizes #2-12.
• Palette Knife: Diamond-shaped, 2" in length for oil and acrylic paints.
• Palette Cups: Two metal palette cups for oil mediums.
• Paper towels, tissues, or rags.

Watercolor Painters

• Watercolor block (Fluid 100 or Stonehenge)
• Watercolor palette
• Watercolor Brushes: Princeton Velvet Touch or Aqua Elite are excellent.
• Water spray bottle
• Brush Washer
• Towels or Paper Towels

Gouache Painters

• Gouache Palette: Small porcelain enameled Butchers Tray Palette
• Watercolor Brushes: Princeton Velvet Touch Flat and Round Brushes.
• Paper: Strathmore Watercolor Paper or Strathmore Mixed Media 184 lb.
• Brush Washer
• Water Spray Bottle
• Towels or Paper Towels

Acrylic Painters

• Disposable Palette: Grey Matters or standard white disposable paper palette.
