The Obeya Host certification develops your ability to facilitate Obeya sessions where collective intelligence actually shows up. You learn to guide teams through performance dialogue and decisions that hold.

Is this for you?

You will get the most from this class if you are:

• A certified Obeya Fundamentals practitioner ready for the next step
• A manager, team leader or facilitator running cross-functional conversations
• A Scrum Master, Lean professional or Agile coach working with groups
• Responsible for meetings where complex decisions get made

This is probably not for you if your problem is what goes on the walls rather than what happens in front of them. Obeya Builder addresses that.

Note: Builder is not a prerequisite for Host. They are parallel specialisms. One person can hold both, or two people can share them.

What you’ll be able to do

• Prepare Obeya meetings that earn the time they take
• Formulate questions that open a topic rather than close it
• Create the conditions for psychological safety, and notice when they are missing
• Facilitate participative dialogue and group decision-making
• Handle conflict and challenging group situations without taking over
• Improve collective learning after the meeting, not just during it

What happens in the class

Two days across before, during and after the meeting. Before: attendees, outcomes, agenda, workspace, and your own preparation and mindfulness. During: participatory dialogue, group decision-making, skilful questioning with ORID, Appreciative Inquiry, and troubleshooting. After: continuous improvement. Theory U and Teal organisations frame why the shift matters. You practise hosting and get feedback on it.

What it costs after the course

Nothing in year one. €75 per year after that, if you choose to continue.

Passing includes one year of Obeya Association membership. Renewal is €75 per year, billed by the Obeya Association. Keep it active if you plan to work towards Obeya Coach, which requires it.

Your Host certificate itself does not expire.
