TORN SILK— SUMMER INTENSIVE

The Ballet Intensive

One week. Total immersion. Ages 7 & Up.

A week designed to challenge, inspire, and elevate every dancer. From the first barre exercise to a live end-of-week performance, each day builds on the last — deepening technique, strengthening the body, and igniting artistry.

01-Ballet Technique Barre fundamentals through grand allegro — precision, placement, and power.

02-Pre-Pointe & Pointe Work Foot strength, ankle stability, and elevation — at every stage of the journey.

03-Stretch & Conditioning Targeted exercises that build the strength and flexibility ballet demands.

04-Classical Variations Repertoire from the great ballets — musicality, expression, and style.

The week culminates in a live end-of-week showcase — a chance for every dancer to share what they've worked towards.

LENA SAVICH — Flexibility & Conditioning
A former professional rhythmic gymnast from Belarus, Lena brings 17+ years of coaching experience and was named Coach of the Year by USA Gymnastics in 2013. Certified in yoga, floor Pilates, and Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), her signature method combines rhythmic gymnastics, yoga, Pilates, and ballet conditioning into a comprehensive flexibility program that enhances mobility, builds strength, and prevents injuries.

ELIZABETH HUEBNER — Classical Ballet
Elizabeth trained on scholarship with San Francisco Ballet and the Joffrey Ballet School, and danced professionally with the Joffrey Ballet under the direction of Gerald Arpino. Founder of Classical Dance Center and Classical Dance Academy, she has dedicated 30+ years to teaching, choreography, and mentorship. She is a multiple Youth America Grand Prix award recipient — honored with both Outstanding Teacher and School awards — and was most recently celebrated at the CDA Summer Gala 2024 at the Irvine Barclay Theatre.
CELESTE ROBBINS — Contemporary Technique
Celeste holds a BFA in Contemporary Dance Performance from Boston Conservatory and is an alumna of the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas. She performed as a company member with Compagnie Marie Chouinard, touring France, Italy, South Korea, Switzerland, and beyond. She has trained under Ohad Naharin, Crystal Pite, and Desmond Richardson, and her performance credits include music videos for Netflix's Dancing Queen.
