This training will equip advocates to think critically about when Illinois law requires them to make a report to the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). With a focus on thoughtful decision-making, participants will review legal responsibilities related to mandated reporting while building skills to assess when a situation requires a report versus when families may be better supported through community resources and concrete supports.
This virtual training is provided for members and IDHS-funded DV/SA organizations only; and will issue 1 CEU for social work or counseling at no cost. Please indicate the desire for CEU's clearly in your registration and later in your post-training evaluation. Please confirm here if your organization is a member of The Network.
