Copper Foil Experience Required!

Learn to create a stained glass box with a hinged lid that opens & closes! We’ll start the class with instruction on using the Morton Portable Glass Shop or Strip Pro to cut perfect pieces that fit. Then we’ll construct the four-sided box, attach the hinge and finish by attaching a chain to keep the lid from falling back. These boxes are lovely for holding jewelry or keepsakes, and wonderful as a gift. Come learn how fun and easy it is to construct these boxes and then let your design imagination run wild

MATERIALS & TOOLS TO BRING TO CLASS (Available for Purchase at Harmony):

-Approx. 1 sq ft (12” min x 12” min) of opaque glass

-Glass cutter

-Foiling tools (fid, scissors or snips)

-7/32” copper foil (copper or black-back)

-Soldering tools (temperature controlled iron, stand, sponge, flux cup and brush)

-60/40 solder

-Flux and patina

-Tube Hinge – can be purchased day of class (feet and brass décor are optional)

-Ball chain or box chain – can be purchased the day of class

-Sharpie

Please wear long cotton pants and closed toe shoes, and bring safety glasses if you own them.

We require that you purchase any class tools and supplies here at Harmony when needed for your class. By doing so, you help ensure that your local stained glass store will be here as a place for fun and learning for many years to come.

THE FINE PRINT - Terms apply to all classes at Harmony Stained Glass.
By registering for this class, you acknowledge that you have read and AGREE to these terms:
1. Your class will start on time. Please be on time and prepared. Please put your phone on silent so that it won’t disrupt the class.
2. Payment is required when you register for a class. When you register, we reserve that space and purchase supplies for you. Seven days advance notice is required to cancel your participation in a class. With seven days notice, you will receive Harmony store credit for your tuition. With less than seven days’ notice, tuition is forfeit. No refunds or credits will be offered in the case of a no-show on the day of class.
3. Classes with guest artists are never refundable unless we can fill your space. A $100 cancellation processing fee will apply to any refund that is issued.
4. In the event of a class cancellation by Harmony, you will receive a full refund.  
5. Typically a class reminder is sent as a courtesy, but it is your responsibility to remember your class date and time and to arrive prepared.
6. Class participants must be at least 13 years of age unless specified otherwise in the class description. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a participating (registered and paid) guardian.
7. Participants give permission for Harmony Stained Glass to take and use photographs which may include their image or artwork.
8. Please wear closed-toe shoes and long cotton pants.
9.Everyone who is present for a class must be enrolled in that class.
10. If the class is "plus supplies", only supplies purchased at Harmony are permitted.
11.Class projects not picked up after three months will be considered abandoned and will not be retained.
