Beginning Stained Glass - Morning Class - Six Week Session

No Experience required!

Tuition plus cost of glass and supplies. (Approx. $425 - $450 total)

Come learn the exciting art of stained glass! This class is your foundation for many future glass techniques. In addition to your tuition, you will purchase the glass needed and a kit of supplies needed to complete the class. You can expect to spend about $200 for your supplies and glass. In six weeks you will create a 9”x 14” stained glass panel using the construction technique developed by Louis Comfort Tiffany. You will learn all of the skills required including cutting, fitting, foiling, soldering, framing and finishing.

Please remember you MUST visit Harmony BEFORE the first day of class to select and prepare your pattern. You can select your glass before the first day of class or between class weeks one and two. Allow at least an hour and come during daylight hours. You MUST have your glass purchased before class two starts. Please bring safety glasses if you own them. Always wear closed-toe shoes and long pants to class.

You will bring your selected paper pattern and tracing on sticky-back paper to the first class. Do not cut your pattern pieces before class! (You do not need to bring your carbon paper, second pattern or glass to Class 1). You will use shop tools during class to learn which styles work best for you.

Each week of the six-week session teaches new skills so it is not possible to miss a class. We do not offer make-up classes for week one. If you will miss one of the other weeks, you need to schedule a make-up lesson. The fee for the make-up is $45. The make-up class must be completed before the next class in the series so you are prepared to continue learning the skills you need in the order that they progress.

We require that you purchase any class tools and supplies here at Harmony. By doing so, you help ensure that your local stained glass store will be here as a place for fun and learning for many years to come.

THE FINE PRINT - Terms apply to all classes at Harmony Stained Glass.
By registering for this class, you acknowledge that you have read and AGREE to these terms:
1. Your class will start on time. Please be on time and prepared. Please put your phone on silent so that it won’t disrupt the class.
2. Payment is required when you register for a class. When you register, we reserve that space and purchase supplies for you. Seven days advance notice is required to cancel your participation in a class. With seven days notice, you will receive Harmony store credit for your tuition. With less than seven days’ notice, tuition is forfeit. No refunds or credits will be offered in the case of a no-show on the day of class.
3. Classes with guest artists are never refundable unless we can fill your space. A $100 cancellation processing fee will apply to any refund that is issued.
4. In the event of a class cancellation by Harmony, you will receive a full refund.  
5. Typically a class reminder is sent as a courtesy, but it is your responsibility to remember your class date and time and to arrive prepared.
6. Class participants must be at least 13 years of age unless specified otherwise in the class description. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a participating (registered and paid) guardian.
7. Participants give permission for Harmony Stained Glass to take and use photographs which may include their image or artwork.
8. Please wear closed-toe shoes and long cotton pants.
9.Everyone who is present for a class must be enrolled in that class.
10. If the class is "plus supplies", only supplies purchased at Harmony are permitted.
11.Class projects not picked up after three months will be considered abandoned and will not be retained.
