Games - Spanish Online
Who says you can’t play your way to fluency? In this 10-week interactive course, students will sharpen their language skills through the power of play. We’re moving beyond the screen and into a virtual community where games provide the perfect "low-stakes" environment to practice speaking naturally.
How It Works
Every week features a different challenge designed to get kids talking. Whether they are competing in a team or playing a classic solo game, the focus is on communication. To win, they’ll need to describe cards, call out numbers, and negotiate moves—all in the target language. It’s "stealth learning" at its finest: they'll be so busy trying to win, they'll forget they’re practicing grammar!
The Game Library
Parents will receive a Game Kit Roadmap before the first session. This list will let you know if you need to print a custom Bingo card, grab some household "tokens" (like dried beans or coins), or simply have a piece of paper handy. Our lineup includes:
- Memory Match: A fast-paced game to boost vocabulary and visual recall.
- Bilingual Bingo: A classic favorite adapted to sharpen listening comprehension.
- Digital Board Games: Classic board game mechanics reimagined for the screen, focusing on turn-taking and strategy talk.
- Mystery Missions: "I Spy" and guessing games that encourage descriptive storytelling.
The "Open Mic" Arena
Because games are social, we don't believe in the "Mute" button. We want to hear the cheers, the "good games," and the friendly banter!
To keep the focus on the fun, we ask that students join from a quiet, dedicated space. By keeping microphones on, we simulate a real-life game night where conversation flows freely. A distraction-free background ensures that everyone can hear the clues—and the victory celebrations!
