WAVES Reflection: Lunch and Learn (HSRA Update)
Join us for lunch as STEM East and regional planning partners share the development and proposed implementation model for WAVES. Over the past year, partners across K-12 education, higher education, workforce development, and industry have collaborated to design a regional approach that expands awareness, access, and opportunity within the health sciences pathway for students across eastern North Carolina.
This Lunch & Learn will provide an opportunity to:
- Learn about the vision, structure, and progress of the Regional Health Science Academy initiative
- Explore how the model may be adapted or replicated within other districts and regions
- Discuss lessons learned, partnership strategies, and next steps for implementation
- Consider how regional collaboration can strengthen student access to health science career pathways aligned to workforce needs
Whether you have been directly involved in the planning process or are simply interested in innovative regional models for career-connected learning, we invite you to join the conversation. Registration for this event will help us plan for lunch and seating accommodations.
STEM East remains committed to ensuring that all students have equitable access to meaningful career exploration and high-quality educational opportunities connected to regional workforce needs. Through strong partnerships and collaborative planning, we aim to support schools, districts, and colleges in creating authentic, connected experiences that prepare students for future success in health science careers.
