Elementary and Middle Art: $300 + $50 Materials/Supply Fee

Although this class meets ONCE A WEEK on Tuesdays ONLY, this is an EXTENSIVE art class and students will work with a variety of complex and intricate mixed media!

This visual arts and creative design course for students in grades 3–7 introduces young artists to a wide variety of artistic techniques, materials, and hands-on creative experiences. Students will explore traditional and modern art forms through engaging projects that combine fine arts, crafting, design thinking, and creative technology.

Throughout the year, students will work with paper crafts, painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, fabric arts, sewing basics, vinyl application, HTV (heat transfer vinyl), canvas painting, greeting card design, recycled art, and 3D construction techniques. Students will also gain introductory experience with creative tools such as Cricut machines, design software, and surface design processes.

The course encourages imagination, problem-solving, self-expression, and collaboration while helping students build artistic confidence and technical skills. Seasonal themes, cultural art exploration, product design, and entrepreneurial-style projects provide opportunities for students to personalize their work and connect art to real-world applications.

Students will create both individual and collaborative projects, including:

• Canvas paintings
• Handmade greeting cards
• Vinyl and HTV products
• Fabric and textile projects
• Sculptures and mixed-media artwork
• Personalized crafts and décor
• Recycled and sustainable art pieces
• Portfolio-quality artwork and showcase displays

By the end of the course, students will have developed a diverse portfolio of creative projects demonstrating growth in artistic techniques, craftsmanship, design, and creative expression.

A $50 deposit is due for this class, after which families have the option of the following payment schedule:

One Payment in full due in May: $300

Two Payments of $150, due in May and September 10th

Three Payments of $100, due May, Septemer 10th and December 10th
