Refresh Your Style: The Sustainable Fashion Swap and Workshop
Refresh Your Style: The Sustainable Fashion Swap and Workshop
Join us for an inspiring and practical event dedicated to the art of sustainable style. As the seasons change, many of us look to refresh our wardrobes, and this event offers the perfect, eco-friendly solution.
We invite you to participate in our community clothes swap—a fantastic opportunity to exchange pre-loved items, declutter your closet, and discover unique pieces to revitalize your summer look without the environmental cost of fast fashion. Details of this are below.
There will also be an exclusive talk by Ruth Watson, founder of Ecologico. Ruth is a leading voice in the movement toward conscious consumption, and she will share her expert insights on the world of "thrifty fashion." During her presentation, Ruth will provide actionable styling tips, teaching attendees how to navigate the secondary market effectively. You will learn the best strategies for buying and selling pre-loved clothing, discover hidden gems in unexpected places, and gain the skills to restyle, repurpose, or upcycle your existing garments to give them a new lease on life.[2]
Beyond the technical skills, Ruth will share her personal journey, detailing how she has successfully curated a stylish, sustainable wardrobe while saving significant amounts of money over the years. Whether you are a seasoned thrifter or a newcomer to sustainable fashion, this event is designed to empower you with the knowledge to build a summer wardrobe that is both chic and environmentally responsible. Come prepared to swap, learn, and be inspired to embrace a more circular approach to your personal style.[3]
This event is FREE OF CHARGE with thanks to funding from Point North and their Enriching Later Lives Fund
