Beer Appreciation: Grains to Glass
Beer Appreciation: Grain to Glass
Transition your understanding of beer from simple consumption to active, analytical appreciation! This 3-hour immersive course explores the science, history, and culture behind brewing. Through interactive sensory labs and guided tastings, participants will learn the "Sight, Swirl, Smell, Sip, Swallow" technique, deconstruct the core ingredients of malt, hops, yeast, and water, and understand the origins of fermentation.
We will explore how geography, climate, and modern engineering have shaped both historical European styles and contemporary American craft trends. The class features an expertly curated lineup of craft beers sourced from local Northern Colorado breweries—including Grimm Brothers, Verboten, Loveland Aleworks, Rock Coast, and MeadKrieger—to perfectly illustrate the evolution of brewing.
Note: All participants must be 21+ with a valid ID to register and attend.
