Understand how medications affect aging bodies, how to reduce medication-related risks, and how thoughtful prescribing can improve safety, cognition, energy, and overall well-being.
Tatyana Gurvich, PharmD., BCGP is an expert in geriatric pharmacotherapy. She has over 30 years’ experience in geriatric pharmacology. During the 1st part of her career, she taught in a family practice residency program where she taught pharmacology to physicians in training. She is now an assistant professor at USC School of Pharmacy where she teaches didactic and experiential courses. Her primary clinical practice site is a multi-disciplinary primary care geriatric practice at UCI Medical Center Senior Health Center where she provides care to geriatric patients with multiple comorbidities and very long medication lists. She participates in two Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) projects, at USC Dept of Family Medicine and UCI Dept of Geriatrics where she develops geriatric education curricula for primary care providers and other health care professionals. She is a co-chair of Geriatric Pharmacy Care Council at CHSP. This group promotes geriatric pharmacy at the state level and to all the California pharmacy schools.

- Registration is required before participation in any class.
- Late registration is permitted when a class series is active on our registration page. However, class fees are not pro-rated.
- Payment for any class fees is due upon registration.
- Limited Refund Policy: If a fee class is cancelled, you will automatically receive a full refund. There are no refunds if you miss a class or drop out. If case of error, forward your class registration by email to the Registrar with an explanation. All refunds are at the discretion of the Registrar and involve a service charge, except when a class is cancelled.
- Our code of conduct: A successful Zoom event requires the good will of all involved. Instructors, at their sole discretion, can mute any Zoom participant who they deem is disruptive to the class.
