MOSAIC engage - CLBPT

Canadian Language Benchmarks are a national, standardized system of measuring a person’s English language proficiency in Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing English. The results can be used for placement into approved language training programs or workplace training programs with a language component. CCLB is also used for the BC Health Care Assistant Program and other similar post-secondary programs.

IMPORTANT:

• • The CLBPT is NOT accepted by Citizenship and Immigration Canada
  • You can't use the CLBPT for unapproved purposes.
  • It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure that they are registering for the correct test.

Inappropriate uses of the CLBPT include:

·        Entry into non-benchmarked college or university programs.

·        Entry into the LINC program.

·        Exit assessment from any program.

·        Proof of language proficiency for immigration and/or Citizenship.

·        Proof of language proficiency for employment purposes.

·        Proof of language proficiency for employment purposes.

·        Proof of language progression during a language training period to inform reports to funders.

• • We reserve the right to decline you entrance into the test if your purpose of taking CLBPT is not amongst the approved purposes by CCLB. Please note: CCLB, licensed CLBPT assessment centres and certified CLBPT language assessors are not liable when results are used for purposes outside the scope of the tool.
  • ​Test Transfer/Cancellation requests much be made at least 10 days before the test for a full refund. Test Transfer/Cancellation requests made within 5 – 10 days before the test require a $20 administrative charge.
  • Test Transfer/Cancellation requests must be made by filling out the request form on our website within the specified time periods.
  • Test date transfers/cancellations are not acceptable within 5 days from the test day (excluding the test date)

You will receive your confirmation email immediately after registering. A reminder will be sent to your email the day before the test.​ Please check your spam/junk email for the confirmation email! 

CLBPT online rules of use:

1. We reserve the right to reject entrance to anyone who arrives late for their test.

2. Do not register or create an account with any online forum, platform, or website to practice for this test 2 weeks prior to the CLBPT Test. We reserve the right to decline your entrance into the test if we find otherwise.

3.We reserve the right to decline you entrance into the test if your purpose of taking CLBPT is not amongst the approved purposes by CCLB. Please note: CCLB, licensed CLBPT assessment centres and certified CLBPT language assessors are not liable when results are used for purposes outside the scope of the tool.
