The Proper Battery Care Training is designed to provide material handlers and equipment operators with essential knowledge on the safe handling, charging, and maintenance of industrial batteries used in daily operations.
This session focuses on practical, easy-to-follow guidelines that help extend battery life, improve performance, and maintain a safe working environment. Participants will review the “10 Commandments of Good Battery Care,” which outline key best practices such as charging only when required, avoiding over-discharge, maintaining proper water levels, and using the correct equipment.
In addition, the training highlights common hazards associated with battery use, including overheating, gas buildup, and improper handling. Emphasis is placed on early identification of potential issues, proper inspection routines, and maintaining clean and well-functioning battery systems.
Safety remains a key priority throughout the session. Participants will learn the importance of using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices at all times. By the end of the training, employees will be better equipped to handle batteries responsibly, reduce risks, and support a safer workplace.
