Becoming a Better Teacher & Speaker
"Becoming a Better Teacher & Speaker" is for anyone who teaches, trains, or speaks in front of adults — and wants to do it better.
The workshop is a one-day experience for a small group (maximum 12 participants). Together, we’ll explore how adults learn, practice the craft of teaching and speaking, and reflect on who we are—and who we're becoming—as communicators.
“A real re-framing and fresh vision for the beauty and goal of the teaching task.” (Past participant)
Participants can expect to:
- Gain a clearer understanding of how adults learn, remember, and grow
- Develop a felt sense of what significant learning is and how to create it
- Practise short teaching moments in a supportive, thoughtful room
- Learn how to open a talk in a way that captures attention from the start
- Explore essential delivery skills such as pacing, tone, posture, presence
- See how good structure and simple storytelling make teaching clearer and more compelling
- Receive honest, encouraging feedback from peers and the facilitator
- Reflect on personal strengths, fears, and motivations as a teacher or speaker
The day is designed to help you see teaching more clearly—how it works, what helps adults learn, and why it matters. Along the way, you'll build confidence through understanding and practise, and reconnect with the purpose of the work you do.
If this sounds like you, I’d love you to join me. And if someone comes to mind who’d benefit, please forward them the link to this page.
