September 2026: Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Training Application - IN PERSON (Wilmington)
Peer Certification Training is designed for individuals who are currently employed or volunteering in peer support roles and are seeking to become Certified Peer Recovery Specialists (CPRS) in the State of Delaware. This comprehensive course prepares participants for the CPRS certification exam by covering all required knowledge and competencies. In addition, participants will develop and strengthen essential peer support skills through interactive learning, practical exercises, and real-world application, enhancing their effectiveness in supporting individuals on their recovery journeys.

This is a 4-week course which will begin on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026 and will end Wednesday September 30, 2026.

You must participate in the live sessions and complete all assignments to receive your Certificate for 50 Training hours.

Successful completion of this course will provide you with all of the training hours needed to apply for the Peer Recovery Specialist Certification in Delaware.

Seating for this training is not guaranteed. There is an application process. Minimum requirements are as follows:
• Applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
• Applicant must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Applicant must have direct personal experience living with mental illness and/or addiction in recovery. (For our purposes, supporting or living with someone with mental illness or substance use disorder does not qualify)
• Applicant must be willing to self-disclose lived experience for the purpose of education, role modeling, and providing hope to others about the reality of recovery.
• Applicant must have at least 2 months experience working or volunteering under supervision in a peer role.
