Exploring Yarn Fibers for Crochet/Knitting
$ 30 usd
+ available add-ons
In this two-hour fiber arts class, participants will explore the unique properties and practical applications of various yarn fibers, including wool, alpaca, cotton, linen, rayon, and acrylic. Through guided crochet stitching exercises using different yarns, students will gain hands-on experience with each material while examining knitted sample swatches provided by the instructor to compare how fiber content influences drape, durability, texture, and overall functionality in both knitting and crochet projects.
By the end of the class, participants will leave with a foundational understanding of yarn characteristics and how to select appropriate fibers for different projects, wearability, and intended uses.
