Workshop 2: Performing Your Monologue
Knowing your monologue isn't the same as owning it. This two-hour workshop gives you six concrete craft tools -- objective, obstacle, tactic, image, button, silence -- and shows you how to use them to make your performance specific and memorable.
The first hour is a craft lab with live demonstration and partner work. After a short break, the second hour is a coached performance round: full monologue, one targeted note, one re-run.
Bring a memorized monologue. Recommended after Workshop 1, but can be taken on its own. Cap: 10 participants | Facilitated by Trista Duval, Artistic Director, Centerstage Theatre
These workshops are open to any actor in our community and are not required for Centerstage auditions. Participation has no effect on casting decisions.
