This course is available for OSS OT Employees who have completed the OSS Static Splinting Course or practical equivalent (CHT or CHT mentee) as a prerequisite.
Course Description:
At completion of this 8 CEU course, the attendee will be familiar with the following topics:
Course objectives:
- Understand the proper cuff structures for dynamic and static progressive splinting
- Understand axial forces for dynamic and progressive forces
- Understanding when it is appropriate for dynamic and static progressive bracing
- Able to understand the low load long duration principle
- Able to construct 5 different dynamic/static progressive orthosis
