Fall to Pieces Mosaics

Keep the kids and grandkids engaged and entertained this summer with a mosaic frame class taught by Barb Bryan of Fall to Pieces Mosaics!

OVERVIEW. Class suitable for kids ages 8-14. Students will use mosaic materials to decorate a 9x11" wooden frame with a 5x7" opening, suitable to hold a photograph or mirror. The instructor will grout the completed frames in the days following class, and the final pieces will be available for pickup at a designated date and time.

PROJECT DETAILS. Students will have wide leeway in design, choosing their preferred colors and materials. They will design their frames with mosaic materials following instructor guidelines. Available materials will include ceramic tiles, glass tiles, metal findings, beads, and precut stained glass. For safety, the instructor will do any necessary cutting or shaping of materials, and students will not be exposed to sharp glass chips or shards.

CLASS LENGTH: 2 hours. If a student needs a little less more time to finish, s/he will be accommodated.

WHAT IS PROVIDED: 1) All supplies and tools (wood frame, mosaic materials, adhesive, aprons, latex gloves, etc.), and 2) guidance and assistance from the instructor. A mirror cut to fit can be provided for an additional charge.

WHAT TO BRING: 1) Covered water bottle (if desired), and 2) clothes you don't mind getting stained with glue or grout.

LOCATION: Class will be held in the Fall to Pieces Mosaic Studio at 2929 Rockrim Lane, Billings, Montana. Enter studio at northeast corner of standalone garage.

PARKING: Park on street, on parking pad on west side of house, or in driveway in front of studio, being careful not to block other cars.

ADULTS CAN STAY DURING CLASS IF DESIRED.
