Tree Trimming - Safety Training

Information to be covered

• Use of the Aerial Lift While Trimming the Tree
• Safe Chainsaw Use
• Operating the Chipper Safely
• Managing the Worksite in a Safe Way
• Proper Personal Protective Equipment
• Proper Tool Use
• Safety Gear and Safe Work Practices

All must wear work attire, long pants, long sleeves, work boots. No shorts or tennis shoes.

If you have the following PPE, please bring it with you. Hard hat, eye protection, hearing protection, and chainsaw-resistant leg protection.

Please bring your gear and/or tools (chainsaws, fall protection, etc.) so can be verified for compliance with local laws.

-Both classroom instructions and outside hands-on activities will be performed

-Each class is limited to 30 employees

-There will not be a make- up session - you must attend one of these sessions in order to get credit/certified.

-Training will be provided by Jose Mercado of Hispanic Arborist Association.
