The Long Game: Narrative Improv Ongoing Series
Are you ready to improvise full-length plays and films? Ready to make audiences feel, not just laugh? This ongoing series will build the skills necessary to improve your longform narrative game. With an emphasis on building the narrative muscles to tackle this rewarding and challenging improv form, this class will focus on foundations, mindset, and reps, as well as working specific genres of films, plays, and TV.
Led by Portland Comedy Theater's owner, Rick Steadman, and based on his extensive background in acting, directing, and narrative improv, this class is designed for students who want to invest in their growth journey. This class will be offered with the 7 weeks on, 1 week off cadence and repeat as long as there is demand.
Please note: One class will be on Sunday 7/19 from 12pm to 2pm. One week during the run will be skipped; there is no class Saturday 8/1.
Best for: Students who have taken our 301 class or have similar previous improv class experience at Portland Comedy Theater or at another theater.
