Concealed Carry Skills Level 1
Concealed Carry Skills 1 picks up where your permit class left off. This class will be on the outdoor range all day but there is shade and seating for breaks. Attendees will work to build the skills necessary to safely and efficiently deploy the concealed carry handgun and get hits on anatomically critical locations to stop an imminent threat. In this class, we discuss threat identification and detection, then work on developing your 4-point draw from concealment to proper sight alignment/sight picture, trigger preparation, and follow-through. Attendees will undergo a baseline assessment to identify areas of marksmanship and receive coaching to fine-tune their skills. Marksmanship and firearms handling skills will be introduced, such as types of reloads, malfunctions clearing, cadence, and other skills. Attendees will leave with a set of drills to guide their development. After completion, students will have the baseline skills and confidence necessary to carry a concealed firearm and deploy it in a defensive encounter.
