Concealed Carry Fundamentals

Carrying a concealed firearm is a serious responsibility, and it demands more than just a permit. This course is designed for the new or prospective concealed carrier who wants a solid foundation across every dimension of carrying and using a pistol for personal protection.

We cover the full spectrum: safe gun handling and storage, pistol selection and nomenclature, ammunition knowledge and defensive load selection, the fundamentals of defensive marksmanship, and drawing from concealment. Students will also work through loading and stoppage remediation, carry modes and concealment principles, and firearm cleaning and maintenance.

The mindset content goes beyond checklists. We address situational awareness, threat avoidance, the psychological and physiological realities of a violent encounter, how to control an encounter if force becomes necessary, and the emotional, legal, and social aftermath of a defensive shooting, topics too many courses skip entirely.

This course includes both classroom instruction and practical exercises. Students will leave with the knowledge and foundational skills to carry responsibly and confidently, and with a clear picture of what continued training should look like.
