The Buddha’s teachings on simplicity offer an essential foundation for living a life of contentment and freedom. During this retreat, we will gather to explore the many facets of simplicity through continuous mindfulness in silence, both in sitting and walking meditation. Meditation instruction and opportunities to ask questions about the practice will be offered throughout the retreat. Both beginners and experienced practitioners are warmly welcome.

  • We kindly ask that, if possible, you register only when you feel reasonably certain you can attend. Our spring retreat experienced a number of last-minute cancellations, and we hope to minimize that for this retreat out of consideration for Brian and the planning involved.
  • Registration closes on Wednesday, September 9th at 11:00 AM.  Please sign up before this date to reserve your space.

Silver Cliff Ranch is a camp, conference, and retreat center in Nathrop, just up the road from Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. Several walkways and paths provide ample space for walking meditation. Silver Cliff Ranch rests at the base of the stunning Chalk Cliffs, offering a peaceful and scenic setting. See this Map of Silver Cliff Ranch for parking and details of the area.
The $25 non-refundable registration fee helps SIMC offset some of the cost of hosting a retreat. We wish to make this retreat accessible to all. If the $25 registration fee poses any hardship for you, please reach out to us as soon as possible at Sangha@salidasangha.org for scholarship resources and registration.
