Watercolor Dumpster Fire
Learn to paint a dumpster fire with Serena Cole! A "dumpster fire" is a commonly used informal expression used to describe a completely disastrous, chaotic, and mismanaged situation that is out of control. In this workshop we will play with the idea of painting symbolized challenges with a lighthearted approach. Don't want to paint a dumpster fire? Paint anything on fire!
This workshop will introduce the adventurous beginner as well as more advanced watercolor painters to the ins and outs of working with highly pigmented watercolor applications combined with washes to create unpredictable results. We will also play with combining powdered dye and a water sprayer to achieve organic shapes and movement to resemble smoke and fire.
Students may bring printed or digital imagery they wish to work with or use images provided by the instructor.
Anyone age 16 and over is welcome! Some drawing experience is recommended but not required.
