Handgun Mastery 2 is the sequel to TPC’s Handgun Mastery course. It is recommended (but not required) that students be familiar with the “Reactive Shooting Science of the Handgun” doctrine introduced in the Handgun Mastery course.

This 2-day course advances your journey toward true handgun mastery by refining the details that separate experts from masters. You will maintain high-level marksmanship under stress, time pressure, and distractions. The course focuses on efficient reloads, faster target reacquisition, decision-making under pressure, and dynamic engagement while moving. Through structured challenges, you will test your competence, strengthen recovery under cognitive load, and build the mental toughness required for consistent performance in any environment. Designed for intermediate and advanced shooters ready to operate at a higher standard.
Course Overview:
- In-depth core skills refinement and a high level of understanding of the TPC reactive shooting principles.
- Predictive vs. reactive shooting
- Developing the ability to preserve a high level of performance under pressure and additional distractions.
- Reloads – Fast, failure-free reloads from slide lock, tactical reloads, principles, and effective techniques.
- Engaging targets from multiple directions – pivots and turns.
- Shooting on the move – Cover ground efficiently while making effective hits on multiple targets. Revealing the essential principles of how to preserve the shooting platform while moving.
- Total focus on overall improvement and mastering top performance with a handgun.
Bring:
- good eye and ear protection (we recommend electronic)
- 1000 rounds of ammunition
- serviceable/safe handgun - at least three spare magazines
- a backup handgun if you have one, just in case!
- a sturdy belt, OWB kydex type holster that protects the trigger and mag pouches.
- hat and clothing to suit the weather and the brass. We recommend that high neck shirts be worn.
- to keep your hands more comfortable through the learning process, we recommend that you bring athletic tape
water/electrolyte drinks/snacks to keep up your energy - a notebook/pen or pencil
