Drama Club for 9 to 12 year old's Term 3 2026
Drama Club (9–12 yrs) – Term 3, 2026
Get ready for a term of high-energy drama, imagination, and confidence-building! This class is packed with fun activities designed to help young performers find their voice, literally and creatively.
Together, we’ll dive into impromptu scenes, short scripted plays, theatre sports, and improvisation games. Kids will learn how to use their voices, gestures, and body language to create expressive characters and connect meaningfully with an audience.
This term’s special focus: Making our own plays.
We’ll take old stories—fairytales, legends, and myths, and find exciting new ways to bring them to the stage. Students will work in small groups to devise a short play, experimenting with different theatrical conventions that make performances surprising and engaging for an audience.
By the end of the term, students will be able to:
- Use voice, gesture, and body language to create believable characters
- Connect with their audience through performance
- Build confidence through drama games and improvisation
- Develop storytelling skills using scripts and original scenes
- Express creativity in a safe, supportive, encouraging space
Perfect for: Kids who love acting, enjoy role-playing and imagination games, or want a fun after‑school confidence boost.
The term finishes with a simple but fun performance event for parents to attend. No pressure - just plenty of growth, creativity, and applause.
