Pistol Mounted Optic (Red Dot Class) With Guy Coursey- PMO 102
PMO 102: Performance with the Pistol Mounted Optic
Duration: 2.5 Hours
Prerequisite: PMO 101 or equivalent experience with a pistol mounted optic
Ammunition Required: 175+ Rounds
Course Description
PMO 102 builds upon the foundational skills developed in PMO 101 and focuses on increasing efficiency, consistency, and performance with a pistol mounted optic under greater speed and complexity.
While many shooters can find the dot during slow, deliberate fire, true proficiency requires the ability to maintain visual discipline, rapidly acquire acceptable sight pictures, track the dot through recoil, and make accurate decisions at speed. This course bridges the gap between basic competency and practical performance.
Students will refine their presentation, improve recoil management, learn to visually process information more efficiently, and develop a deeper understanding of sight confirmation standards. Through structured drills and coached repetitions, students will learn how to leverage the optic's advantages for faster target acquisition, improved transitions, and greater confidence at distance.
The course emphasizes accountability, consistency, and the ability to balance speed with precision in realistic shooting applications.
