Audience

This is suitable for anyone who works with adults at risk.

Aim

To increase knowledge and understanding of the enquiry process in adult safeguarding through use of a case study.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course the participants should be able to:

  • Ensure responses to safeguarding situations are delivered in accordance with the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal
  • Explain why professional curiosity is fundamental to keeping people safe
  • Understand the types, purpose and models of enquiry
  • Increase confidence of navigating the enquiry process

Course format: 1½-hour face-to-face session
