Workshop Description:
Unleash your creative writing spirit with Taking Flight! Through a series of short prompts, we'll contemplate and write about artwork in the gallery and experiment with storytelling, personal writing, and poetry as avenues for expression and exploration. There will be opportunities to share and connect with your fellow writers as we put pen to paper or fingers to keys and WRITE!
This workshop is provided by projectART as a companion event to our gallery exhibit -flight- the sky, practicing us.
Instructor Bio:
With a fierce love for helping others, Kristy Peloquin's career has always gravitated towards public service. After earning her MFA in poetry and creative writing from Texas State University, she began a career teaching writing and composition that spanned nine years and included Texas State University, Austin Community College, and Huston-Tillotson University. In her role as executive director of projectART, Kristy draws upon her deep love for the arts and a strong commitment to ensuring equitable access to education. She believes in the critical role the arts play in our lives to help us connect, advocate, express, and grow.
