Build Your Own Clay Collector's Niche
August 1, 2026 | 1 - 3 pm
Ages 14+
Instructor: Amy Crowell
Workshop Description:
Just as crows collect and cache small objects, from shiny metal and jewelry to ordinary buttons, rocks, and coins, we, too, gather items that are dear to us. In this unique workshop, Artist Amy Crowell will put your fine-motor skills to work by teaching you how to use clay to hand-build miniature displays for these tiny, personal treasures. No prior experience is necessary!
This workshop is provided by projectART as a companion event to our gallery exhibit -flight- the sky, practicing us.
Instructor Bio:
Amy Crowell’s pottery journey began at Dartmouth College’s Davidson Pottery Studio, where she learned the craft, managed daily operations, and taught wheel-throwing. Today, she creates functional, wheel-thrown pieces and is learning how to harvest her own clay. Deeply inspired by nature, Amy brings this passion to her work as a conservationist and artist. Amy is happiest when swimming in Hill Country rivers, hanging out with her friends and family, and creating clay and botanical art in her studio.
