Course Overview

The Orange County CCW Renewal Certification Course is designed for current California Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) permit holders who are renewing their Orange County CCW permit. This 8-hour course satisfies Orange County Sheriff's Department renewal training requirements while reinforcing the knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to responsibly carry a concealed firearm.

Student Expectations & Prerequisites

Students attending this course must possess a current California CCW permit and have experience safely handling and operating their firearm.

Students should bring:

• A current California CCW permit
• A valid California Driver License or Identification Card
• A safe and functional handgun
• Sufficient ammunition for qualification
• Eye and ear protection

Students are expected to demonstrate safe firearm handling throughout the course and successfully complete the required live-fire qualification.

Students may cancel their registration up to 48 hours before the scheduled class to receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the course, or failure to attend, are non-refundable.
