Create a beautiful, functional ice cream scoop with your own hand-turned wooden handle. In this beginner-friendly woodturning workshop, students will learn the basic steps of preparing a hardwood blank, shaping the handle on the lathe, sanding, finishing, and assembling it with a stainless steel ice cream scoop kit.
Participants may choose from available hardwoods such as maple, cherry, walnut, or oak. Each student will leave with one completed custom ice cream scoop, perfect for home use or as a handmade gift.
No previous woodturning experience is required. Instruction, materials, hardware, and use of shop tools and safety equipment are included.
