HAGFEST
Hagfest Imbolc gathering - The fire of the earth begins to awaken again…
Meaning “in the belly” (from the pregnant ewes) & also Oimelc, the time of lactation; signifying the renewal of life. Imbolc marks the mid-point transition from Winter to Spring (exactly halfway between the Winter solstice and the Spring equinox), a time for purification, the return of the light & the stirrings of new life. We will honour Brigid the Celtic goddess of Spring, fertility, poetry, & smithcraft. And we will tend to our inner flame, celebrating the lengthening of the days…and the first hints of Spring.
Join us for a participatory & collective creation:
Opening & closing sharing circle, oracle work, movement, creative/therapeutic activity, texts/folk tale (adventure)/poems, pot-luck soup (ideally around the fire, or in the chapel if weather prohibits) & more…
Bring layers for warmth & our group size is restricted to a maximum of 12, for cosiness…
(Remember you can use CASH coupon on registration; if you have organised to trade other exchanges or if you are bringing a cash contribution on the day)🪴
One of the reasons Hagfest was created was to give back to so many of us who lead others creatively & spiritually, whether through our practices or families or workplaces, & whom might have done so for some time…these gatherings occur roughly every six weeks based on the seasonal & spiritual wheel of the year.
So this is a space for US to be held within, by each other, without any performing whatsoever required. It’s a space to be…whoever you are on the day (sometimes messy, sometimes pumped) at this moment in time in relation to the land. And a space to allow us all to feel around the edges of (or dive right into) who we are becoming…& what the rest of our life (or just next week) could look like ❤️🍄🌱
