Introduction to experimental and creative Gelliplate Printmaking

Advanced Gelli Plate Printing: Layering, Image transfers & Mixed Media. Designed for those with some previous Gelli plate experience, this inspiring one-day workshop will help you develop more sophisticated printing techniques and a deeper
understanding of layered image-making.
Explore advanced processes including reverse painting, image and text transfers, multiple transfer compositions, texture building, ghost printing and plate reworking.
You will learn how to combine Gelli prints with collage, drawing and mixed media techniques to create rich, expressive artworks and cohesive print collections.The emphasis is on experimentation, creativity and developing your own visuallanguage while gaining confidence in making more intentional and resolved work.

By the end of the workshop, you have a collection of layered prints, mixed media artworks and plenty of ideas to continue your creative exploration.

Suitable for: A basic knowledge of Gelli plate printing is required.*

Basic materials, tools, ink and paper will be provided. Additional materials may be available to buy from the tutor or the art shop next door. We limit our course numbers to 6 - in order for you to get the most from our tutors and the facilities.

Terms and Conditions:
Bookings are only confirmed on receipt of the full cost of the course. If full payment is not made, you will not be allowed to start the course. We reserve the right to cancel the course at a weeks notice if there are less than 4 participants booked.

Please note

We will not be liable for any childcare, travel or accommodation fees lost due to cancellation by us.
You will need to bring your own lunch as there are no facilities nearby. Please bring an apron, some basic kit like pencils, pens, your tutor should get in touch before the start of your course to let you know if there is anything specific you need to bring.

Cancellation Policy:
The sum of £50, will be lost If you cancel at short notice (less than 2 weeks before the course start). If your place cannot be filled, no monies will be returned.
