Join us for a free Rongomamau Community Wānanga in Tūrangi and experience a rare opportunity to learn with Umutakarangi, the last living knowledge keeper of Rongomamau and a clinically trained family therapist.

For generations, Rongomamau, the Aotearoa New Zealand's indigenous martial art, was forced underground. Today, this sacred knowledge is being brought back into the community to support healing, resilience, and balance for the people who need it most.

Over this 2.5-hour introductory wānanga, you will discover the foundations of Rongomamau through kōrero, breathwork, physical movement, and shared experience. Rather than simply learning techniques, you'll begin reconnecting with your own strength, presence, and inner balance.

You will experience practical tools that help you:
