Distance: Canoe - ~4 miles, hike ~8 miles

Elevation Gain: ~3000 ft

Bus or Drive: Bus

Trailhead: Meet at the Hut and take the AMR bus to the Lower Lake. From there, paddle across to reach the Carry trail and take the Bartlett Ridge trail to the base of Haystack. Camp out at the Panther Gorge leanto and wake up early to hike to the summit for the sunrise, then return by the same route.
