Class Description

Led by Margarida Macieira, this one-hour improvisational movement class is designed to help you untangle, unwind, and energize your body. Moving through different levels—standing, sitting, and lying down—you will focus on stretching, activating, coordinating, and mobilizing through sensory awareness. Emphasizing joy and freedom of movement, this class invites you to connect with rhythm, groove, and pleasure in a supportive, playful, and non-contact environment. Suitable for all movement levels!

Important Notes

• Age Requirement: Open to everyone aged 16 and older. No prior dance experience is necessary.
• What to Bring: Please bring comfortable clothing to move in and a water bottle to stay hydrated.
• Punctuality: Classes start promptly. Doors close at the start time, and latecomers cannot be accommodated. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early.

Registration & Policies

• Capacity: Maximum class size is 30–35 participants. Pre-registration is highly recommended to secure your spot.
• Cancellations & Refunds: You can modify or cancel your registration via the attendee self-serve page on Corsizio up to the day before the scheduled activity.
• Class Cancellations: Classes are subject to minimum registration. If the instructor needs to cancel, you will be notified up to 24 hours in advance and given the choice of a full refund or a class transfer.

Payment Methods

• E-Transfer (Preferred): Send payment to untangledance@gmail.com. Please register through the website first, select the "Pay Later" option, and include a note specifying which class you are attending.
• Cash: Select the "Skip online payment to pay later" option during checkout and bring exact change to class.
• Credit Card: If you are unable to use e-transfer or cash, you can book online via Stripe using a credit card.

• Note: Each class requires individual registration. Please register for all classes at once in advance, as the coupon will not be valid after the first session has passed.

Venue Information: EDAM Studio

📍EDAM is located on the ground floor of the Western Front building. It is easily accessible via Translink lines (Buses #8, #19, and #9 at Kingsway & E Broadway, or the #99 B-Line at E Broadway & Main St).

🚗 Bicycle racks are available at the front of the building. Street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood (please check local permit and time limit signs).

• Building Entry: Buzz 02 for entry. Access is only granted 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after the class start time. Please do not let anyone else into the building; the instructor will handle entry.
• Code of Conduct: To participate, you must agree to EDAM's waiver, values, and code of conduct. Other artists work in the building, so please keep the lobby quiet and leave the studio space exactly as you found it.
• Accessibility: The studio, office, and ground-floor washroom are fully accessible.
• Scent-Reduced Space: EDAM is a scent-reduced environment. Please refrain from wearing strong perfumes, colognes, or scented products.

Participant Liability & Release Agreement

By registering and participating in Margarida Macieira’s class, I understand and agree that there is a possibility of physical injury. I voluntarily assume all risks and responsibilities for any such injury, illness, or accident that might occur during class.

I hereby exempt, release, and indemnify Margarida Macieira, EDAM, hosting venues, alternative instructors, volunteers, and assistants from any and all liability claims, demands, or causes of action arising from any damage, loss, injury, or death to myself or my property in connection with this activity. I further agree to waive my rights, and those of my heirs and assigns, to hold the aforementioned parties liable.
