Unlock the full creative potential of deflected double weave (DDW) in this dynamic, hands-on workshop! Known for its striking geometric patterns, beautiful layers, and dramatic transformations during wet finishing, DDW is one of the most exciting techniques in modern handweaving.

This is a "step-out" class, meaning students are highly encouraged to bring their own looms to class. This allows you to work comfortably on a familiar setup and maximize our hands-on weaving time together. Don’t have a portable loom or can't bring yours? Don't worry, class looms are available for use!

Whether you are weaving on a 4-shaft loom or looking to expand your horizons on 8+ shafts, there is something here for you. We will explore a few beautiful, dedicated draft options for 4-shaft looms, alongside an array of highly exciting, intricate patterns designed for 8+ shaft setups. Come explore the intersections of color, structure, and shrinkage, and leave with the confidence to design your own stunning DDW textiles.
