Collagraph: A Creative Printmaking Experience

This workshop is an exploratory voyage in the fascinating world of printmaking. In this workshop, we will make our plates and learn printmaking, using the big press. We will employ various method ranging from etching, embossing, collaging, pochoir and mark making. Elements of design, such as: composition, textures and patterns are going to be presented and discussed. The emphasis of this workshop is on creative experimentation to enrich your artistic toolbox. All supplies are provided and included in the price of the workshop. You are advised to wear an apron or an old t-shirt, put your phones on vibrate and have fun.

About the Instructor 

Franca is an educator and mixed media artist. She thought printmaking and art, for the past six years Her work was exhibited at the Elsie Goodwin Gallery and the Horton Gallery, in Stockton; the Pence Gallery in Davis and the Transmission Gallery and GearBox, in Oakland. Currently, Franca teaches art classes in Stockton and Sacramento.

Cancellations and Refund Policy

Verge Center for the Arts reserves the right to cancel classes, to change instructors, and to make other changes that may become necessary to ensure a quality experience for participants. In the event that a class is canceled, we will contact all registrants and offer the option of transferring to another available session, or receiving a full refund.

If a participant wishes to withdraw from a class, they must do so in writing at least seven days prior to the first class meeting to receive a full refund, less a $25 processing fee. Withdrawals occurring within seven days prior to the first class meeting will receive a refund of 50 percent of the total class fee. No refunds are given to withdrawals that occur 24 hours before the class begins. Transfers are not accepted after a class begins. Membership fees are non-refundable. Please note we are unable to issue cash refunds.
