Autumn Sewing Course

Take Your Next Step in Sewing

If you've mastered the basics of using a sewing machine and are ready for your next challenge, this friendly five-week course is the perfect introduction to sewing with a commercial pattern.

Using a simple beginner-friendly pattern, you'll be guided through every stage of the process in a relaxed and supportive environment. You'll learn how to choose the correct size, understand pattern markings and instructions, lay out and cut your fabric, transfer pattern markings, and sew your project together step by step.

As you work through your project, you'll build your confidence with essential sewing techniques, improve your accuracy, and gain a better understanding of how commercial patterns work. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions and receive individual support throughout the course, making it ideal if you've never used a commercial pattern before.

By the end of the five weeks, you'll have completed your own handmade project and, more importantly, have the confidence to follow simple sewing patterns at home and continue developing your sewing skills.

This course is suitable for beginners who can confidently thread and use a sewing machine. A list of materials, including the recommended pattern and fabric, will be provided before the course begins.

Places are limited to keep the group small and ensure everyone receives plenty of support, so early booking is recommended.
