Do you love Fashion but feel like it's a world out of reach for you? Do you have a personal style of your own you want to see out on the page? When you look back do you see time more in what you wore than what you did? This class is for those who love fashion but feel like outsiders when it comes to the writing world. This class won't focus on the work of industry professionals but rather writing about the world of fashion and style from the personal lens. This class is for those who love the hunt of a good thrift find as much as watching a Haute Couture show. Anyone who wears clothes (at least sometimes) is welcome.

Over the course of four weeks we will read everything from Suzy Menkes to Michelle Tea to Oscar Wilde. We will break down how writers write about not only clothes but life and convey their personal style on the page.

What to expect each class:

  • Time to give and receive peer feedback on work submitted by students each week and cheer each other on.
  • Time to dish and gossip about fashion.
  • Coaching and guidance from Elizabeth.
