This hands-on workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to the safe and effective use of various power tools, including drills, jig saws, circular saws, belt sanders, and palm sanders. Participants will explore the differences between corded and battery-operated equipment, covering essential topics such as tool maintenance, operation, and safety protocols. The session balances expert instruction with practical experience, offering plenty of time for hands-on practice and Q&A. Whether you are a beginner looking to build confidence or a hobbyist seeking to refine your technique, all skill levels are welcome.

This class will cover:

  • Drill, jig saw, circular saw, belt sander and palm sanders.
  • Identify the main parts of the tools.
  • Learn how to safely operate the tools
  • Understand when to use different attachments - drill bits.
  • Demonstrate proper technique.
  • Hands on practice safe drill operation.

What to bring:

  • Safety glasses if you have one. NWA shop has some available for use.
  • Personal tools if needing info on operating.
