Singing Heart Harmonies

Minneapolis! I am SO EXCITED about singing with you again! What a journey it has been since I was there two years ago. I’m deeply moved by your courage, heart, collective singing/organizing, and resilience, and I’m eager to bring some fresh inspiration and songs your way as we gather in heart and harmony.

PLEASE NOTE! We’re singing at San Pablo Lutheran Church because New City Center became a polling place!

I recognize the trauma that lives in so many bodies due to current and historical experiences related to the church. I hope we can hold that tenderly together as we sing in this building which has kindly taken us in. The singing is not church-affiliated.

I’m Karly Loveling (she/they), a Community Songleader, songwriter, and permissionary of heartfelt expression. Based in the traditional territory of the Kalapuya people, now known as Eugene, OR, I lead Singing Heart Harmonies several times a week as part of the Ubuntu Choirs Network. You can also find me leading songs at gatherings, retreats, and online. I tend to write accessible, meaningful, often playful or beautiful, layered songs that create insta-harmonies that acknowledge the whole joyous, messy, confusing, ecstatic, and heart-wrenching experience of being human. Some of my songs have traveled the world over. They come to me when I need them most, and my wish is that they’ll do the same for you.

EVENT DETAILS

We’ll sing original songs that have been nourishing me and my community in hard times. I’ll teach everything by ear.

$15-55 Sliding Scale

All ages welcome. Kids 12 and under are FREE with an accompanying adult.

PARKING
Please leave the parking spots in front of the office for those who need a ramp to get in.

Other parking is on the street or in the lot near the Pastoral House.

ACCESSIBILITY
San Pablo has a ramp on the corner near the office for entry, and an elevator inside. The bathroom is accessible, but requires using the elevator if we are in the sanctuary, as it is in the basement.

SITTING/STANDING/MOVING
There are chairs available for your comfort, AND I will invite you to stand and move around if you are able.

Honestly… we may be in pews. I hope to get us up and moving. It’s been hard to get a clear picture quite yet. But you will be able to take care of your body!

PHOTOS/VIDEO
We WILL be taking photos and video. Please move away from the camera if you do not want to be included.

HUMAN KINDNESS
We come together to reclaim singing as an ancient technology of belonging. Every voice is welcome. Mistakes are welcome. Feelings are welcome. Kindness and compassion are important! We create healing and beauty by embracing connection over perfection.
